The Arianna String Quartet is pleased to announce the Arianna String Clinic, the region’s newest solo and chamber music performance clinic for students from 14-22 years of age.
The mission of the ASC is to provide high school and collegiate string students with an intensive learning environment focused on chamber music and solo repertoire. The Arianna Quartet has developed a highly effective and proven curriculum that offers students innovative new tools for individual and group problem solving, methods for gaining interpretive insights, and creative rehearsal and practice techniques through informed decision-making that will empower students in their practice and performances.  Students may audition as preformed ensembles, or as individuals for placement into chamber groups.

Hailed for their outstanding musicianship, the Arianna String Quartet has firmly established itself as one of America's finest chamber ensembles. Formed in 1992, they garnered national attention by winning the Grand Prize in the 1994 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and First Prize in both the Coleman and Carmel Chamber Music Competitions.  They were also Laureates in the 1999 Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition.  The Arianna String Quartet has appeared throughout North America, Europe and Asia, including critically acclaimed debuts at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Tokyo's Suntory Hall, and have been heard on live nationally broadcast performances in Osaka, Japan, on Canada’s CBC radio, several times as part of Chicago’s prestigious Dame Myra Hess Series, and on National Public Radio’s “Performance Today” program.  Highlights for 2011 include concert tours in Brazil, South Africa and Canada.

Students may audition as individuals or in pre-formed string quartets.  For students outside the suggested age range, please contact the Arianna Quartet for extra application information.
